![]() ![]() The Splendor and the Freedom are in the same class which means they're sister ships. Coming in at 952 ft long and 116 ft wide, it's roughly the length of 2.6 football fields, as wide as 2.2 tractor trailers and the same height as a 13 story building. Just to clarify, the OS was $400 LESS pp, imho I don't think the GS is worth an extra $400pp. Ship Size The Splendor is considered a medium size ship. If you want to save a lot of $ and still be comfortable, book a 8k balcony (extended) or above instead. ![]() ![]() In my opinion, if you want to lay out the money for a suite, go ahead and book the GS. I don't think it includes priority tendering or any other perks. The final ship to be built in the Conquest-class, Carnival Freedom entered service in 2007 and will be the last vessel in its class to receive Carnival’s Fun Ship 2.0 upgrades with new. If not platinum you will only get priority embark and debark. We already get priority embark because we are platinum, so generally we just get a regular or extended balcony cabin rather than paying the extra $. The space was terrific but it is only the two of us so really not necessary. Expanded children’s facilities, comprising a separate children’s pool, a mini-movie theatre, and an indoor playground, account for some of the extra footage on. We have been in the GS twice, once was an upgrade (back when they still had those instead of upsells) and once for our honeymoon. The jacuzzi tub is just a standard size tub and that and encased with a glass door so it was a bit claustrophobic for me. The lighting in that area was not good enough for me to apply makeup so I ended up using the desk area in the room anyway. The only real difference I could see between that and a balcony room was the two extra closets and the dressing are between the main room and the restroom. I agree the OS is not worth the extra money. In total, the ship offers space for 3012 guests with. Not worth it to me personally.:) Oh and both have the beautiful bathroom with double sinks & jacuzzi tub.
